We offer an exciting yet sheltered environment in which children and adults with learning and multiple disabilities can enjoy and discover new skills and abilities with safety and confidence in the care of our experienced and qualified team and the personal supervision of the Care Manager, Silvie MacKenzie.
Our holiday experiences are stimulating, interesting and fun and our aim is to encourage participation in as wide a choice of outdoor
activities as possible including canoeing, walking, biking and archery.
We want our guests to have fun developing recreational skills which will be useful to them on returning home. Every effort is made to support people’s positive abilities and ensure that the widest possible choice is available regardless of disability.
We hope to
promote an active, healthy and sociable lifestyle and offer activities in a way that supports personal development on many levels.
Guests are offered support and encouragement
to share in all aspects of daily living together. They can
choose to be involved in daily living tasks such as meal preparation.
We make maximum use of surrounding community
facilities and at Badaguish itself we cater for the general public and many other youth and community groups.
Activities at Badaguish include:
- Indoor Games Room
- 5-a-side Covered Sports Area
- Outdoor Adventure Equipment
- Trampoline
- Visits to surrounding visitor attractions
GROUP SIZE
Our holidays are for small groups and care is taken to put together appropriate groups depending on age, level of ability and whether individuals have a learning and/or physical disability.
The usual group size is 10 or less. Together with 4-5 helpers, this allows for the possibility of a 1:1 ratio if necessary. |
