The holidays are for small groups and take place under the personal supervision of the Care Manager, Silvie MacKenzie. Care is taken to put together appropriate groups depending on age, level of ability and whether the individual has a learning and/or physical disability.

The usual group size is 10 or less. Together with 4/5 helpers, this allows for the possibility of a 1:1 ratio if necessary.

The care team is made up of male and female staff members and both will provide care unless a preference is stated.

Staff training focuses on the skills to create an intimate and supportive environment. It emphasises the importance of both staff and service users sharing all aspects of daily living together. Full individuality is recognised and each individual is encouraged to participate in the choice of programme and activities.

All our staff are employed according to the rules of the Scottish Social Services Council and we seek references and disclosure documents for each member of the care team. We work to Care Commission Scotland standards.
